Grant Hewison

Grant is a barrister with a specialist practice in public law, local government law, and environmental law. Grant has over 25 years’ experience in advising local government, associations, corporates and private individuals. Grant has experience in providing advice on policy and legislation changes as well as appearing before tribunals and courts.
Admitted to the Bar in 1985, Grant has been Special Counsel in two law firms as well as a Senior Manager in two local authorities. Grant regularly provides seminars to both clients and professional groups and is an author of a chapter of the textbook Environmental law in New Zealand (edited by Peter Salmon and David Grinlington) as well as a contributing author of Local Government Law in New Zealand (Thomson Reuters).
